We see so many patients complaining about large belly buttons after surgery. Hernia is another surgery that can result in a very Big Belly Button Deformity needing a Tummy Tuck for Revision. Again we are dealing with forces. Trying to make a big defect small by cinching tissue down does not work, the forces pulling the small structure large again win out. This is the same principle as trying to perform a Belly Button Tummy Tuck.

Revision Tummy Tuck Surgery, when there are adequate tissues, permits skin to be pulled over the old belly button stalk and starting with a smaller surface hole.

Hope this helps,

It's been a year since I had my tummy tuck and belly button hernia repaired. Although, I'm pretty happy with the overal surgery; I'm really concerned about the belly button. The hernia totally destroyed it and its competely flat! I went back to get it repaired and after some scar revision and stiches its now flat again.
I'm loosing my hope about having a normal belly button again. I'm really worried about this. I think my stiches broke or didn't take.

I'm desperate; do I have any hope? If so; how much would it cost (average) to get it fix? I have pictures!!
Please adivce; I need help, summer is almost here ;-)

Welcome to our new forum!

Posting Standard Tummy Tuck Pictures can help others better understand your concerns. Options depends on the original problem, what was done, after surgery care, and many other factors. Sometimes Umbilictoplasty revision alone can be done. At other times more extensive Revision Tummy Tuck is needed.

Cost of Belly Button Surgery depends on the problem to be treated.

We are glad to help patients explore their options during a consultation or our Preliminary Remote Discussion. Jane is my office manager and can explain the process and typical costs.   She can normally be reached at our office by phone Monday - Friday 9-5 Eastern Time at (804) 748-7737.

Hope this helps,
