Is having a hernia repaired during tummy tuck more painful than without. I really do not want to have allot of pain after my surgery.

Comfort After Tummy Tuck is really dependent on your doctor's skills and techniques. This surgery does have a reputation for being painful, and my operations used to be that way until I evolved my Tumescent Tummy Tuck

Then even with Diastasis Recti Muscle Repair or hernia repair, our patients tell us that they are comfortable. With this technique, I see no difference in comfort if a hernia repair is done at the same time. Now these hernias I am talking about tend to be small. But the muscle repair extends from the sternum to the pubis in most patients. Even though I prescribe a strong oral pain medications, our patients typically tell us that plain Tylenol is enough for their comfort.
